Estamos chegando perto do lançamento do jogo, que será no começo do próximo ano, e queremos responder uma questão feita por muitos: que tipo de jogo survival horror é Amy? Como os jogadores lidam com os inimigos? Que tipo de armas você poderá usar?

Como pode ver, Amy não te dá muito poder contra os inimigos, nem uma experiência de ação orientada. Amy volta às raízes do gênero survival-horror e garante um suspense tão emocionante que te faz imaginar qual será a próxima surpresa.

Enquanto muitos jogos do gênero escolhem ser baseados tanto em ação quanto em combate, ou deixar os jogadores com tanto medo a ponto de se sentirem menos poderosos que os inimigos, Amy combina o melhor destes dois mundos. Paul Cuisset, o homem por trás de Amy (e jogos clássicos como Flashback), queria uma nova dimensão, que resultou na cooperação entre Amy e Lana.

Jogando com Lana, você terá que decidir se prefere fugir ou se esconder dos combates ou lutar usando qualquer arma que encontrar. Como destacado no último vídeo, você pode usar a vulnerabilidade de Lana à infecção para andar entre os inimigos sem levantar suspeitas, ou usar a habilidade especial de Amy, que você pode dar uma olhada no final deste vídeo.

Isto faz você considerar muitas opções antes de tentar lutar: se esconder, pedir para Amy fugir ou usar seus poderes especiais para derrotar os oponentes. Mas como gostamos de encorajar os jogadores a chegarem a sua própria escolha, se quiser lutar, vá em frente e tente. Você não conseguirá ganhar toda vez, mas vale a pena tentar do que se arrepender do que não fez…

Durante a Game Developers Conference desde ano, revelamos o Move.me, um aplicativo destinado a pesquisadores, estudantes e programadores que roda no PS3 e dá acesso à tecnologia do PlayStation Move. O objetivo é permitir que acadêmicos possam desenvolver aplicações que vão além dos jogos tradicionais – os campos são vários: fisioterapia, reabilitação esportiva, educação… O Move.me permite que qualquer um faça experimentos com o PlayStation Move e crie aplicativos, bastando ter um PC, o controle PlayStation Move, a câmera PlayStation Eye e o sistema PS3.

A partir de hoje o Move.me está disponível para download gratuito para membros da Academia nos EUA, incluindo pesquisadores, corpo docente, funcionários e estudantes universitários. Interessados em participar do programa para Academia podem entrar aqui (apenas para universidades nos EUA por ora). Para o público geral, o Move.me está disponível na PlayStation Store norte-americana por US$ 99,99.

Segundo o jornal, eles conseguiram conversar com dois membros do grupo que classificaram os ataques como OpSony ou simplesmente Operação Sony. O motivo que levou aos ataques foi o processo da empresa contra George Hotz.

Ainda de acordo com o artigo da CNET, os criminosos ainda estão acessando os servidores da Sony, o que talvez explique a demora no restabelecimento dos serviços online da empresa.

Em depoimento ao Congresso dos E.U.A. esta manhã, o Dr. Gene Spafford da Universidade de Purdue, disse que a Sony estava usando software desatualizado em seus servidores, e sabia disso meses antes das falhas de segurança recentes que permitiram que hackers obtivessem informações confidenciais de mais de 100 milhões de contas de usuários.

De acordo com Spafford, especialistas em segurança de monitoramento de fóruns abertos de Internet, já haviam verificado meses atrás que a Sony estava usando versões antigas do servidor web Apache, que “estava desatualizado e sem firewall instalado”.

A falha foi relatada em um fórum aberto, controlado por funcionários da Sony dois a três meses antes da recente violação de segurança.

Spafford fez as declarações em uma audiência convocada pelo Subcomitê da Câmara de Comércio, Indústria, e Negócios. A Sony foi convidada a participar da audiência, mas se recusou a comparecer. Em uma carta à comissão, a Sony disse que adicionou um software de monitoração automatizada com maior segurança de dados e encriptação para seus sistemas, em virtude das recentes falhas de segurança.

Jeff Fox, editor do Consumer Reports comentou:

Se a avaliação do Dr. Spafford for exata, é imperdoável que a Sony não apenas só executou software obsoleto em servidores que contêm dados confidenciais, como também continuou a fazê-lo depois que esta informação foi divulgada publicamente.

Pelo visto, a chapa da Sony vem esquentando cada vez mais.

Segundo a nota divulgada, a Sony detectou em um servidor da Sony Online Entertainment, um arquivo chamado “Anonymous” com a seguinte descrição “We are Legion.”.

Esta frase seria o slogan do grupo de hackers Anonymous. Porém, o grupo já havia informado que não tinha nada a ver com os ataques que a Sony vem sofrendo em seus servidores. Para quem não sabe, o grupo Anonymous foi o responsável por um ataque a PlayStation Network após a Sony abrir um processo contra o hacker “GeoHot”, que quebrou o bloqueio do PlayStation 3.

Atualização

O grupo Anonymous fez um pronunciamento ontem e disse que eles não são os responsáveis pelo atual ataque a rede e que o grupo não dá suporte a quem rouba cartões de crédito.

O PlayStation 2 não receberá nenhum jogo, e o quase esquecido PSP recebe três jogos, o destaque é o jogo de luta BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II.

Quando Red Dead Redemption foi lançado em 18 de maio de 2010, as pessoas que fizeram pre-order em determinadas lojas varejistas (GameStop, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, …), receberam, na época, como brinde, alguns DLCs exclusivos para o jogo – uma prática bastante normal nessa geração.

Esse tipo de DLC sempre é distribuído para o grande público algun meses depois, de forma paga ou gratuita, vai depender da produtora do jogo. Os donos de RDR já haviam recebido gratuitamente no ano passado as roupas Merchant Outfit e Master Hunter Outfit como cortesida da Rockstar. Mas alguns itens continuavam pendentes. Até hoje.

A Rockstar anunciou em seu blog que os DLCs The Deadly Assassin Outfit, The Golden Guns Weapon Pack e The War Horse, estarão disponíveis na PSN, a partir de amanhã por US$0,99 cada.

Com essa roupa, o seu Dead Eye se regenerá no dobro da velocidade habitual.

Cada morte com uma Golden Gun resultará em mais fama para o seu personagem. E mais fama, siginifica mais side-missions disponíveis.

O cavalo mais rápido, forte e resistente que você pode encontrar em Red Dead Redemption.

“Nós concluímos que ter a PSN como alvo não foi uma boa ideia. Por hora suspenderemos nossas ações (referentes a PSN), até encontrarmos um método que não tenha um impacto tão severo nos consumidores da Sony. Anonymous está do seu lado (jogadores), em pé pelos seus direitos. Não estamos mirando o ataque nos consumidores da Sony. Os ataques tem por objetivo unicamente a Sony, e faremos o nosso melhor para não afetar os jogadores, já que isso derrotaria o propósito de nossas ações. Se causamos inconveniência aos usuários, por favor saibam que este não era nossa intenção.”

Eles afirmam que suas ações são recorrentes do tratamento da Sony com os hackers que criaram o jailbreak do PlayStation 3, bem como a todos os consumidores em geral. Eles acreditam que a Sony está passando dos limites ao tomar ações legais contra consumidores como GeoHot, que do ponto de vista deles apenas alterou um equipamento que já pertencia a ele por direito, e posteriormente violando as leis de privacidade por obter informação pessoal de todos que viram o conteúdo online que GeoHot disponibilizou. Por fim, o grupo Anonymous se posicionou contra o argumento de que o desbloqueio do PS3, longe de adulterar os percentes de cada um, encorajaria a pirataria e traria efeitos colaterais na indústria dos jogos, dizendo:

“A propaganda da Sony contra o jailbreak é a de que isso encoraja a pirataria e fará as pessoas (da área dos jogos) perderem seus empregos, enquanto o desbloqueio na verdade só significa que você pode fazer o SEU dispositivo fazer o que você quiser que ele faça. Imagina se a Microsoft o obrigar a usar o Internet Explorer ao invés do Firefox ou Chrome. Imagine se eles negassem aos usuários a possibilidade de usar outro navegador que não seja o deles próprios. A maioria das pessoas enlouqueceria… mas então, por que não se enfurecem contra a Sony?”

A declaração da postagem contradiz os comentários de Takai, um agente do grupo dissidente SonyRecon que tem laços tênues com o Anonymous. Takai falou por meio de um IRC com o PlayStation Lifestyle também ontem, dizendo que ele estava ciente de que os consumidores estavam, em geral, irados com as ações do Anonymous, mas que isso foi um infeliz subproduto de uma iniciativa que vale a pena, dizendo, “Os consumidores, hoje, são o que chamamos de danos colaterais”.

Anonymous diz que o grupo é formado por diversos membros que lutam com uma causa em comum, mas não necessariamente trabalham como um corpo só.

“Operações do grupo Anonymous são geralmente esforços independentes, seria um erro assumir que um único indivíduo foi responsável por cada uma das ações tomadas. Anonymous é um grupo de pessoas com diferentes pontos de vista, em que nem tudo coincide com o de outro membro”, explicam eles.

Por fim, os ativistas hackers em sua mensagem mais recente determinam que a intenção deles é tornar a vida Sony difícil e só parar quando julgarem que a compania já sofreu o bastante. Aos membros da PSN eles pedem desculpas pelos fatos ocorridos.
